Opportunity

As a Senior Designer at BLVR, you are passionate, quick, dynamic, versatile and extremely creative. You work collaboratively with other creatives, strategists, clients, project managers, and developers to create compelling design experiences with the power to enhance the business goals and objectives of our clients.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Communicate and facilitate the art direction and formatting of design deliverables and produce necessary communications pieces in both print and digital environments for a wide range of clients
• Collaborate internally as well as with clients to conceptualize and execute innovative creative solutions that can be translated across various media platforms
• Articulate the value of design through verbal and visual presentation
• Guide and advise fellow employees in both the creative process and client management to foster stronger working relationships and solutions (junior designer, interns, etc.)
• Supervise more junior creatives, responsible for assigning tasks, overseeing and coaching on creative process, and ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of projects.
• Be a team player and a positive addition to the BLVR company culture
• Establish and maintain high visual design standards and proactively learn new techniques and trends in digital design
• Be versatile to work on a wide range of creative projects
• Working closely with the Creative Director (or project lead) to create accurate price estimates and breakdowns while delivering solutions within budget
• Get hands dirty throughout the creative process
• Pre and post production quality checks
• Submit creative deliverables within the agreed upon deadline and budget
• Design of marketing communication pieces including overall theme development, individual piece designs, etc.
• Proactively recommend innovative creative communications ideas
• Solid experience in creating templates, storyboards, and presentations
• Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign
• Familiarity with Invision and Sketch
• Motion Graphics experience preferred

Skills and Qualifications

• Education: 7+ years visual design experience, preferably in an agency setting
• Bachelor’s degree in visual design or related field—or equivalent experience
• Think strategically as well as aesthetically
• Work independently and in a team environment
• Assume hands-on design function to help complete projects in a timely, aesthetically compelling manner
• Display a positive, team building work attitude under pressure
• Mastery of Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and other current design software in a Mac OS X environment. 
• Take accountability and ownership of assigned projects while understanding timelines and budgets
• Possess people skills to effectively, persuasively engage with internal senior level management
• Strong conceptual skills and a strategic mindset
• Knowledgeable in Print Production, Photography, Proofing
• Knowledge of art materials, fabrication techniques, printing process and press runs
• Drive consensus between peers

 

SALARY RANGE

• $100,000 to $125,000
