Opportunity

As Brand Strategist, you are an integral part of the leadership team at BLVR. You work closely with the VP of Brand Development and the CEO to ensure that BLVR’s Brand Belief philosophy is communicated and executed at the highest level, both internally with the team and externally with clients. You are responsible for helping establish the strategic direction of client projects, running the day-to-day management of client accounts and guiding multiple departments to ensure all projects are completed on-time and with the BLVR stamp of quality.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Works directly into VP of Brand Development.
  • Supports senior leadership.
  • Manages and encourages project teams.
  • Maintains strong communication with clients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Works alongside VP of Brand Development and the CEO to develop strategic direction for all key BLVR projects.
  • Ability to manage project schedules, budgets and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and budget.
  • Ensures all work leaving the building is on brand and of the highest quality (BLVR stamp).
  • Manages external marketing partners such as PR agencies, digital marketing firms and production companies/artists (copywriters, photographers, videographers, etc.).
  • Evaluates creative solutions and helps to sell work into clients.
  • Oversees management staff across departments to drive smooth communication and integration.
  • Contributes to strategic development.
  • Looks for ways to improve internal processes and standards to make BLVR better.
  • Manages project budgets and head hours to ensure project profitability.
  • Clearly, communicates when projects are out of scope and manages these to either be estimated or prioritized based on approved hours.
  • Understands and tracks consumer and market insights, plus analyzes project and team effectiveness the impact of brand development, marketing, sales, and web efforts to recommend strategic improvements.
  • Always looks for new opportunities and ways to upsell clients.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years in brand development, marketing and agency positions, namely brand strategy and management in top digital and/or brand agencies, account planning, brand strategy, creative services, and/or corporate brand management.
  • Demonstrated digital marketing expertise.
  • Successful management experience.
  • Deep understanding of, and experience with, digital brand development (design, messaging).
  • Powerful and diverse brand experience.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills; with direct experience in writing and briefing creative teams.
  • Strong business and personal ethics.
  • Proven leader with demonstrated experience in building strategic, creative plans.
  • Strategic powerhouse with extensive track record of delivering world-class ideas.
  • Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves, style – willing to dive in and do it yourself. No ivory towers, we’re a small company and everyone pitches indirectly.
  • Can effectively lead, both direct staff and indirect support staff in conjunction with projects.
  • Effectively manages multiple projects in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Strong presentation abilities as a mean to build consensus around strategic objectives and project plans; can pitch to clients.
  • Can work in close collaboration with research to define knowledge gaps and desired insights to assure feedback is actionable and strengthens creative executions.
  • Solid understanding of web design best practices (brand, direct response, lead generation, analytics, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of managing video and photography production.
  • Deep understanding of driving branding projects from inception to completion using internal and external teams in a collaborative environment, utilizing technology as a tool to further recognition and understanding of the brand.
  • Exceptional writing skills as well as creating creative presentation documents.
  • Graphic design a plus – ability to dive into any project and get it done in a pinch when others aren’t available.
  • Demonstrated ability to have a positive impact on a company’s brand image and recognition.
  • Experience managing large projects on tight deadlines with distributed teams.
  • Ability to manage other managers; helping them set goals, manage their departments, develop their skills, etc.
